Kellie Beck: Artistic Director
Creator of Phoenix Theatre Company, Kellie looks to a future in directing and theatre composition. With a wide array of experience, Kellie has won awards in costume design statewide, and worked in directing, costumes, makeup, props and more. She has also performed in dozens of shows in the local area. She is currently a Directing BFA major, in the school of Music, Theatre, and Dance at the University of Michigan.
"Think about it. Theatre should've disappeared the minute movies and television came around. But it didn't. Because theatre thrives on human connection, on authenticity. It's haunting, and charming, and impossible to ever completely understand. So we spend our lives chasing after it."

Sarah Atwood: Resident Director
Sarah Atwood, although young, comes at theatre with a full force. An amazing actor and director, Sarah has a vision for the stage unlike any other. Sarah not only acted as a lead in PTP's most recent work, but she also assisted in directing and writing the piece. Our jack of all trades, we cannot wait to see what Sarah will do next.

Emily Hollen: Youth Outreach Leader
Severely passionate about theatre, Emily looks forward to a career in children's education. With experience in directing and writing traveling children's shows, such as Green Eggs and Ham (seen left), Emily flawlessly combines her love for theatre with her career ambitions. Emily leads youth outreach within the company as well as assisting with various other tasks.
"Theatre invites in creativity and supports everyone it meets. It gives chances and freedom, while introducing new points of view. It expands minds through new perspectives outside of your own."

Marlene Goss: Youth Outreach Asst.
With experience in acting and costume design, Marlene Goss most recently prevailed in competitions statewide with her work in The Importance of Being Earnest, in which she played the character of Cecily. Marlene has won awards for her acting, her costume design, and her work as an assistant director. Especially good with kids, Marlene is joining our staff to assist in our educational programs. |
Nathan King: Marketing Manager
Nathan King is beyond excited to be joining the Phoenix Theatre Productions team. He comes in with a passion for all forms of theatre. He is an experienced singer, dancer and actor working on the professional, community and high school level. Also an experienced professional clown, with a love for children's theater, musical theatre and storytelling. He brings an energy he hopes is exciting and infectious. He looks forward to chasing his dreams to become a full time professional actor and to support his colleagues in all their endeavors. He would like to say a huge thank you to his fellow staff members for being so welcoming. Athena Chapekis: Resident Dramaturg
Athena Chapekis, although generally located in Oxford, Ohio, keeps us in her heart an thoughts at all time. Always willing to lend a kind-hearted criticism, and a helping hand, Athena helps keep things in check and keeps us at our very best. Athena has a vast amount of theatre experience, with extensive work in hair and makeup and performance.
"Theatre is an experience unlike any other. It brings people together and allows for unparalleled creativity and self expression. It changes the way you see yourself and the way you see the world. It opens doors, windows, shatters walls and ceilings, and fills the air with oxygen when you allow it. Theatre is a truly beautiful thing."

Max Leidlein: Resident Stage Manager
Maxwell Leidlein is a force to be reckoned with. Our number one fan, and quiet do-gooder, Maxwell, or rather, Max™, as we so often call him, is always ready to lend a helping hand. Trained as a musician on the trumpet, Max also has experience as a stage manager and stage crew member. |
Rachel Jones: Artistic Reviewer
Rachel Jones of Rochester Hills joins the company to give her own unique insight, assisting in business matters, as well as often helping choreograph for the company. Not only gifted with a natural choreographing ability, Rachel has spent years training as a singer and actor. "Don't let anyone hush, demand, or contain your art.
